Management

Albert holds an MBA in Corporate Governance from the University of Zimbabwe. In addition, he also holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ) as well as a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UNISA and a Certificate of Proficiency from the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe. Albert joined Medscheme Zimbabwe in August 2007 as Finance and Administration Manager. He held this position for 8 years before being appointed to Managing Director in February 2016. Before joining Medscheme, Albert was at BDO Zimbabwe where he did his articles and worked as an Audit Manager. He is an Executive member of the Association of Health Funders of Zimbabwe.

Caroline holds a BCom in Marketing Management from the University of South Africa. In addition, Caroline has diplomas in Short Term Insurance and Financial Planning from the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe and the Institute of Bankers of South Africa respectively. She is studying towards her Fellowship with the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe. Caroline has over 15 years’ experience in Short Term Insurance, Health having held various roles in Marketing and Operations. She has worked for Aon Zimbabwe, Trustfin, Fidelity Life Assurance and Steward Health prior to joining Sovereign Health in 2014 as Operation Manager. Carol’s role evolved to her taking leadership in driving Sovereign Health’s’ Growth strategic agenda from August 2016.

Tendai is the holder of a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Counselling from the Zimbabwe Open University and Diplomas in General Nursing and Marketing from Harare Central Hospital and the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry respectively. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in HIV & AIDS Counselling, Care & Support and Certificates in Systemic Counselling and Nutritional Counselling. Tendai has over 25 years’ experience in the medical insurance industry having held various posts in Premier Medical Aid Society, Anglo-American Corporation Medical Aid Society and Generation Health Medical Fund. She is a community volunteer with Childline, as well as a tutor on Risk Management as art of adjudication refresher courses with the Association of Health Funders of Zimbabwe. Tendai has been with Sovereign Health since its inception in 1999.

Danai holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Gender Studies from the Women’s University of Africa. She also holds a Diploma Personnel Management from the Institute of People Management of Zimbabwe, an Executive Certificate in Strategic HIV/AIDS Project Management (University of Zimbabwe) and a Diploma in Education from Hillside Teachers’ College, Zimbabwe. She is currently studying towards a Masters of Business Administration with the Management College of Southern Africa (MANCOSA). Danai is also an Associate member of the Institute of People Management of Zimbabwe. Danai joined Sovereign Health in June 2012 with responsibility over the Human Capital portfolio. She holds 16 years working experience gained from the Public and Private sectors.
