The Mahogany Plan

The Generation Health Mahogany Plan is an executive offering that gives members access to private and state-aided facilities with an option to manage an MSA.  Mahogany Plan current major benefits are detailed below and are paid according to AHFoZ tariffs unless otherwise stated.   The Generation Health membership year is January to December and members who join during the course of the year are awarded pro-rated benefits

Hospitalisation
Covered for private wards
Theatre fees, operations and ICU Paid in full
Maternity Covered at 70% of internal award as a grant-in-aid.
Prosthesis - internal

USD1 800 per person per annum
USD600 per person per annum
Chronic medication (benefit available upon registration on CCN) USD600 per person per annum
Antiretroviral medication Benefit available upon registration on CCN.  Please contact the Fund for detailed   information.
Hearing Aids USD960 per person lifetime award.
Glucometers, nebulisers, etc. USD250 per person every four years
Ostomy bags Paid in full, global limit applies.
Dental USD3 300 per person per annum.
Optical $800 per person every 2 years. 
Rehabilitation USD1 040 per person per annum.

MSA Funded Out of Hospital Benefits
Out-patient consultations with General Practitioners and Specialists Paid per AHFoZ tariff or in full.
Alternative medical practitioners
(Chiropractors, chiropodists, naturopaths, osteopaths, homeopaths, etc.)
Paid per AHFoZ tariff or in full.
Acute medication Paid in full up to benefit available
  • The MSA is a family account
  • Members can opt to have their out-patient consultations awarded in full, above the AHFoZ tariff, as long as their MSA is adequately funded
  • It should be noted that the instruction to award claims in full has to be in writing and from the principal member
